Julia discovered her love of volleyball playing for Monseigneur-Bruyere as a setter.
She was a leader for her high school team and was captain for a second time in
her very successful graduating year topping it off with an OFSAA gold medal
in 2009-2010 after having won an OFSAA bronze medal in the 2008-2009 season.
Julia was a setter for the Forest City Volleyball Club from 2006-2010.
In her final season her U18 team won the division 2 National gold medal.
Julia was introduced to beach volleyball by the opening of BVA.
She played with her sister Angie for a number of years finishing
in the top 5 in tier 1 at the 2008 Provincials.
This past year Julia played volleyball for the
University of Toronto Varsity Blues. This has
been a great experience and has encouraged her to want to pass on much of what she has learned.
Julia loves to coach and always looks forward to the beach season.
BVA has greatly contributed to her success and she looks forward to
passing on her enthusiasm to newer beach players.
